Gay History

One thing that annoys me to no end is to hear young gays misuse the term Trade. I recently read a blog where the person posted a porn and wrote a disclaimer about the hot Trade readers were about to view. However, the porn contained 2 obviously feminine males (to me) in boy drag (i.e fitted cap and timberline boots). Now I understand words evolve over time but today the word Trade is used so loosely it has lost it’s original definition. I firmly believe we need a gay history month, book, pamplet or something. Let me be the first to make a much needed entry-

Trade: (traid)
–adjective
1.A self identified heterosexual male that will upon occasion engage in sexual activity with another male, mostly in exchange for something else.
2. A heterosexual male that barter’s sex. Hence the word "trade".

Just because he has on a doo-rag and some timbs does NOT mean he’s Trade. If he is in the gay club, or has been to a punk bar at some time HE IS NOT TRADE. If he has had sex with more men than women HE IS NOT TRADE. If he has a BGC, A4A, or Men4now account HE IS NOT TRADE. If he refers to himself as Trade HE IS NOT TRADE because real Trade don’t know he Trade.

Like much of our wildlife Trade is an endangered species that we must take great measures to protect and preserve. Today the elusive rare Trade is a breed that is becoming extinct. Mainly due to the over saturation of post Kanye West pop culture, Tyra and poachers. Trade poachers are the queens that fall in love with the Trade, take them out of their natural habitat (the streets) and attempt to domesticate them. How selfish can you get. Correct protocal is to have, then release the Trade.
